Since our opening in 2010 we have built up an extensive knowledge and experience of supporting disabled children aged 0 to 18 years.
Bi-Borough Childcare and Early Education Service
We believe that only good quality experiences in early years and childcare will improve outcomes and close the gap for children and young people who are disadvantaged.
The EYCS places positive outcomes for children at the heart of their work and to this end work closely with settings to support them to have high expectations of children and to develop their learning.
Good quality early years and childcare provision can have a significant impact on children’s development, performance at school and their future life chances. It is important that the childcare workforce have the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding to support children’s learning. Furthermore, it is essential that the workforce constantly seek to develop their skills and understanding that in turn will have a positive impact on the early education they provide.

NQT induction must include:
- a 10% reduction in teaching time for the purposes of professional development (in addition to 10% timetable reduction for Planning, Preparation and Assessment work)
- regular support and mentoring from the school’s NQT coordinator, or designated NQT tutor
- regular observation and feedback about the quality of teaching in relation to the Teachers’ Standards
- provision of an appropriate, individualised professional development programme with related work plan, including reasonable targets set.
Business Intelligence Team for Education
The Business Intelligence Team provides a high quality and cost-effective research and statistics service to schools in Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.
The team is made up of experienced analysts with high expertise and in-depth knowledge of both boroughs. The team manages the analysis and benchmarking of all types of school data, including attainment, attendance, exclusions and a wide range of pupil characteristics information. The team is also experienced in providing comprehensive local demographic profiling.
The team is skilled in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and not only has extensive experience of data analysis and interpretation but is also able to provide a range of services to your own specifications. This can include pupil tracking, evaluating improvement initiatives and designing questionnaires. The team provides training in the effective understanding and use of data generated within the organisation and externally by the DfE, Ofsted and FFT. The last year has seen the team incorporate new visualisation software and techniques into their work enabling the delivery of a more dynamic and sophisticated service with the potential to take our work into a level of depth and presentation that was not possible previously.
The team also provides spatial analysis and can generate maps to your own individual needs using the latest GIS mapping software or dynamic online maps within Power BI. The School Profile is included in the School Improvement SLA. For schools that have not bought into the School Improvement SLA, they can purchase their Annual School Profile separately. As ever, we are working hard to innovate our service and build on our working relationships across both boroughs. We welcome feedback on our services and look forward to working with you over the coming year.
